Description
These are the original genuine Roland inks, not a compatible alternative. TR3 is Roland's current-generation eco solvent ink, developed for the TrueVIS VG4-540, VG4-640 and XG-640. It succeeds TR2, which remains the ink for the earlier VG3 and SG3 machines, and the two are not interchangeable.
TR3 widens the colour gamut beyond CMYK with Orange and Green alongside Light Cyan and Light Magenta, which is what makes brand colours and logo work reliable rather than approximate. Colour stays consistent at speed, so a long run finishes the way it started.
The bigger change is white. On the XG-640, TR3 white prints roughly three times faster than TR2 white on a VG3 and lays down about 1.3 times more density, which turns window graphics, backlit work and base coats from a bottleneck into a normal job.
The formulation is GBL-free and GREENGUARD Gold certified, virtually odourless and requiring no special ventilation or extraction, so it suits schools, retail interiors and offices as well as a production floor. Prints are scratch resistant and hold up outdoors for up to three years unlaminated.
Each 500 ml pouch slots into a reusable cartridge that slides into the machine's hidden ink bay. Ink changes are clean, there is no spillage, and far less plastic goes in the bin than with disposable cartridges. An RFID chip confirms genuine Roland ink at every change.
